380. Go  Play Laser Tag

 12/27/2013

Today was the day, the day when I got to prove myself that I wasn't like every other girl in the world, because tonight I was going to play Laser Tag with Jesse (My Boyfriend) and his church's youth group.  I had played laser tag before and learned four rules of the game to win, these rules goes as follows; 1. Never be in a group of girls for they mainly have no idea what they are going and will scream at everything that moves, which later leads to a horrible headache later 2. If you have to be in a group make sure to be in the back and than shoot all of your team mates 3. If you're not forced into a group, find a place that is hard to hit your lights/targets but easy for you to shoot people who pass by without them noticing 4. if it moves...shoot.

I ran these rules and ideas though my head over and over again, until six a clock when we had to leave to meet at the church. But above all else I refused to lose to any girl. The youth group hanged out for a while at the church, just to make sure we wouldn't leave any late comers behind. After ten or so minutes, we got into groups and left in five cars. Fifteen later we had arrived at the local laser tag place. After the youth pastor put everything to order with the people who ran the place and gave everyone wristbands that told the workers how long we were allowed to tag, a worker came out explained the rules while we put on our armor and another worker activated our guns.

This was it, The fake rock door opened and kids rushed inside. My heart pounding faster and faster I rushed in side. trying to find a good hiding place. "Ready to fire" My gun read. Suddenly I saw a red lights to my left. I felt like Riversong from Doctor Who shooting a Silence or a Dalak.  I turned hard to the left and shoot the upper right shoulder light. and ran, and saw the perfect hiding spot. Hard to get to, easy to shot people from small holes from the walls, and a bonus of mirrors to shoot off. Few people noticed I was there, a few passers got shoot right away by me and thought it was normal. But one kid wasn't so lucky, The poor guy had done what I had done find a hiding shot to hide in and shoot people from that spot, but with one major flaw, I had a clear shot of him by using a mirror,  I shot the poor guy ten to fifteen times, each time his lights would go off when I shot him he continued to have no clue who was shooting him, I once even got the wonderful "WHAT THE?!" From him. and than he finally saw me and shot me, and got up and moved. all the while I was laughing my head off.

I continued to shoot people (main girls mind you) until the end of the game. Once the game was over, footprints glowed up to lead the kids out of the maze of darkness and walls. Once we were all back in the main lobby, a TV showed us our scores and were we ranked. I came in third place. Lost to two boys. But not one girl, I beamed with happiness. Three challenges done, Four-hundred and ninety-seven to go...
