318. Receive My Hogwarts Acceptance Letter
February 18, 2010
I couldn't believe it, I really got a Hogwarts letter! I quickly pinched myself to make this was real, and I wasn't dreaming again. This couldn't be right, the dream of my favorite books coming to life wasn't possible, which was why they are called fantasy books, or also known as fairy tales. I ripped open the letter and read it, and reread, and reread it three times to make sure I didn't miss anything. I was going to go to Hogwarts! and leave my stupid muggle school. Even though I was going to two years older than all of the first years, I didn't care, I knew I could push myself and get up with the rest of kids who were my age. I showed the letter to anyone and everyone who would listen. (which was mainly my family) And started imagining what it would be like to go to school at Hogwarts.
Present day:
I learned later that Hope had made the letter and had sent it to me for a birthday present. But I didn't care, that was the most thoughtful gift I had ever gotten from anyone. And even to this day I can't think of a time I was so touched by a gift from my sister. And she helped me complete a challenge on my bucket list. So thanks again sis. Two challenges down, four-hundred and ninety-eight challenges to go...
